Panino Brothers is a place we have frequently visited for a few years now, first at the Apple Valley location but since they have opened up in Eden Prairie it’s a lot more convenient for us to go there. If you have never had a panino it’s like when pizza and wrap meet and create something awesome.
I order my favorite panino, the Buffalo Chicken, without celery since I can’t stand it. And really why did this horrible vegetable get associated with something so amazing as buffalo wings? The “skin” as they call it is somewhat akin to a chewy pizza crust. They fill this skin with a good amount of bite sized chicken, lots of gooey cheese, their buffalo sauce and blue cheese to create my favorite buffalo chicken sandwich ever. Everything including the crust combines to make something so good once you try it you will have a problem ordering a buffalo chicken sandwich anywhere else. I have stopped ordering a different side other than the kettle chips that come with my panino since the paninos are so large you don’t really eat them, other than to get all the super tasty dripping sauce coming out of your panino. I don’t like kettle chips normally but when they have buffalo sauce and excess cheese from the panino on them I can’t stop eating them. Yes you can get a smaller panino during lunch, but I never seem to as its just too good.
Whether you’re just stopping for lunch or going to watch a game Panino Brothers is a great option that’s not a typical sports bar. There is a panino for whatever you are craving and I have never been disappointed no matter what I have tried. Just make sure you bring your appetite and if you are like me and always seem to spill something on yourself, maybe a bib.
I was on break at work when a co-worker of mine pulled something that was not a sandwich, not quite a burrito, and almost resembled a rolled up pizza, from his lunch box. I asked him what it was and he said “Panino.” After watching him eat the cheese and meat filled Panino I called fellow Food Bro Brad and made plans to hit up Panino Brothers in Apple Valley ASAP. They have since opened up a second Panino Brothers in Eden Prairie, which is the one we frequent most often.
A panino is one of those food items that can be made with countless ingredients. Essentially being a rolled up pizza of sorts you can make these rolled flatbread sandwiches any way you like. Panino Brothers offers 23 different panino sandwiches and I have tried at least 5 of them and have yet to be disappointed. My favorite panino is the Philly Steak made with marinated steak strips, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, swiss and mozzarella cheese…oh so much cheese. I’m serious; they put a ton of cheese on these things. I have had their garlic cheese bread also and can honestly say that it ranks in as some of the best I’ve ever had. The bread is soft and the cheese is thick, it doesn’t get much better than that.
This truly is bar food at its best. If someone says that they don’t like this place they are crazy in the head. I mean it. You’re opinion is invalid if you say Panino Brothers is gross, for you are a moron. If you like good pizza…you’ll like a Panino. If you like a good hot sandwich…you will like a Panino. If you like oozing cheese… you will like a panino. If you’re not a complete moron…you’ll go to Panino Brothers tonight and try one for yourself.
